Happy Anniversary!!!

Jesse and I just celebrated our 2nd Anniversary. My mom took Anya and we went down to the Anniversary Inn in Logan. We stayed in the room King Arthur's Castle. We got a great deal on the room and had a nice evening. We were supposed to just stay one night in Logan, but we got snowed in and had to stay another. Lucky for us, my brother and his wife live there so we just stayed at their house the second night. Thanks Mark and Mckenna! It was nice to get away and just spend time by ourselves! However, I was missing my Anya and it was nice to get home to her when the snow stopped. Thanks for watching her mom!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

This year Jesse wanted to cook a duck for Christmas Eve dinner, so that is what we did. We had duck, twice baked potatoes, rolls, broccoli and cheese, and sparkling cider. We then went over to some friends house and did dessert. Here is Anya sporting her new Christmas jammies, which I had to wash in the middle of the night after she threw up all over me and my bed!!! She hasn't been feeling well lately, so I was just holding her in my bed and the next thing I knew, we were changing bedding and clothing. I guess that is better than the night before when we had to have three baths and two bed changes during the night. Hopefully she will start feeling better!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We stayed home and did Christmas by ourselves this year. It was quiet, but relaxing. Anya loved all of her presents and enjoyed playing with them all day. We had a fun day of assembling Jesse's BBQ grill and Emily's buffet cabinet. We hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Santa Baby!!!

Here she is, our little "Santa Baby"!!! We needed a cute little outfit for her to wear when she sees Santa. This is what we found. She knows that she is cute, too! As you can see from the first picture, she is looking a little under the weather. She is sick again!!! Well, actually she is on the mend now, thank goodness! She had really bad croup with a terrible fever. We called the Dr., and she told us to take her out into the cold air. So, here she is all bundled up out on a walk in the middle of the night. Despite it all, she has remained in good spirits, which has been so nice. She is such a happy baby (well at least when mom is around, right, Jess?), and we are glad she is getting better!!!

Oh, Christmas Tree!!!

So, we are officially ready for Christmas. The halls are decked, the tree is up, and the presents are bought. Now all I have left is the wrapping! We went and got our tree last night...in the dark with a flash light, might I add!! I think that it turned out to be a pretty nice one. We came home and got it lit and decorated. As you can see from the picture. there aren't any decorations on the bottom branches. I am sure we all know why.... Anya?! I had to gate the tree off this morning because I was in the living room, and here came little Anya pulling the beads behind her right off the tree. This could be interesting!! I think this must be a different kind of tree than I have usually gotten (my grandpa said he thought it was a cedar tree) because I could not sleep last night because the smell kept waking me up!! Crazy!!! I think now I have gotten used to the smell so maybe I will sleep better tonight. I have used all of my decorations and I think I need more to put in the room with the tree. It looks pretty bare back there. Anyway, I guess we are ready to let the season begin!!!

Busy, Busy Baby!!!

Here she is my BUSY, BUSY baby. She is now 10 months old and walking/running everywhere and into everything! I feel like I go in circles cleaning up after her. Her favorite thing to do is to find any cupboard she can reach and empty it all out! If I turn my back for a second when the gate to the stairs is down, she is halfway to the top with a huge smile on her face. She keeps us on our toes and very busy, but we love it! She has quite the little personality coming through, and occasionally we can get her in a laughing mood when she giggles at everything. A few Sundays ago we were in Lyman. During sacrament meeting, Carter and Jilly kept dropping this flower and she thought it was so funny! She was laughing out loud, and everyone kept turning around to see what was so funny. We eventually had to take it from them because she was causing too much of a scene. She thinks her dad is so funny and runs to him whenever he comes home. She is finally sleeping through the night and napping about 3-4 times a day. She is so fun to have around, keeping me company all day, even if it does mean cleaning all day!

Hair Fiasco!!!

Talk about a bad hair day!!! So, I decided to cut all of my hair off. Actually, I had decided to go just right to my shoulders. Three hair cuts later, this is the result! I absolutely loved the front of it after the first cut. It was just what I wanted. But, when I went to do it the next day, I realized there was a huge hole in the back. I then went to get just the back fixed and ended up with picture number three. I hated it! I felt like a little girl. So, once again, I went back to the salon and got it fixed!!! Now, let me tell you, all of these cuts were done by a different person. THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE!!!!! I was so sad when I got home last night! Jesse hadn't seen me because I was in Pocatello, so he was just hearing it all through the phone. I will say, to my relief, he did end up liking it. I am not so sure I do and was quite distraut as I fell asleep last night. But, after a terrible night's sleep, I think maybe it is doable. After all, it is just hair, and it will grow back!

Tis the Season to.....Make Stockings!!!

I am normally not one to forget about Thanksgiving and jump right into Christmas the day after Halloween. However, this year I had to get some things done before the season gets too hectic. Now that it isn't just Jesse and I anymore, I decided that we needed to have matching stockings. I made up a pattern from a stocking that had been given to me, and Ta-Da!!! This is what I got. Now that I have them done I don't need to worry about getting them done in time for Christmas and can now focus on the upcoming holiday: Thanksgiving!!! The last few pictures were just some that I have taken lately of our BUSY little Anya. She will not crawl at all anymore and is constantly on the move. Due to this, I always find her in places she is not supposed to be, such as behind the couch, in the garbage, halfway up the stairs, in the bathroom - you get the idea! This girl never stops!!! The other day I went to get her after her morning nap, and that is what her hair looked like. I thought it was funny and wanted a picture. As you can see, she did not think it was so funny. Lastly, I found the cutest little doll high chair in the crawl-space at Grandma Karen's, and because she doesn't not have a high chair, this is where Anya sat to eat while we were visiting. It was so tiny, but she fit right in it, just like a little doll. Did you happen to notice the hair things on her legs? This is because her jammies were too long and she kept tripping, so I came up with this little nifty idea.

Happy Halloween!!!

We went to Lyman for the festivities. As you can see, Anya was a ladybug. I was her momma ladybug and Jess was a Cokeville fan. Aunt Annie was a tele-tubbie and Uncle Dave was a pirate, she loved pulling at his mask. Carter and Jilly were Spiderman and a little cowgirl. It was a fun Halloween and both grandmas and grandpa were excited for the little surprise (Anya)whom they found on their doorstep.
