Happy Halloween!!!

We went to Lyman for the festivities. As you can see, Anya was a ladybug. I was her momma ladybug and Jess was a Cokeville fan. Aunt Annie was a tele-tubbie and Uncle Dave was a pirate, she loved pulling at his mask. Carter and Jilly were Spiderman and a little cowgirl. It was a fun Halloween and both grandmas and grandpa were excited for the little surprise (Anya)whom they found on their doorstep.

Pumpkin Gutting, Carving, and Eating?!!!

Last night was our "Annual Pumpkin Carving Night". For some reason, I have always loved to carve pumpkins. Because my mother hates doing this, I don't know where this love came from. I do not recall doing it very often growing up, but it has become a little tradition/obsession for me since I have left home. Jesse, like my mother, is not so fond of the pumpking carving himself. But, every year he kindly humors me and does it anyway. Anya wasn't so much into the carving, however, she did take her part in Home Evening by eating the pumpkin. It is always my job to gut and Jesse's to carve. This year, we tried something new: etching. As you can see from the picture, we successfully etched a shark! It only took about two hours, but we finally finished! I then wanted to try my hand at carving. I flipped the pumpkin around and did a spider and spider web. My spider is kind of pathetic, but I think that my web turned out pretty nice. I guess it's not so bad for drawing the pattern myself. I will work on my spiders for next year. All in all, I had a fun night with my pumpkin carving obsession. Thanks, Jess, for being a good sport!!!

Princess Anya & the Park!!!

Here she is, Princess Anya! On Tuesday night, for young womens, we had a photography lesson. The girls got to dress up and take a bunch of fun pictures. They also wanted to take pictures of Anya. So, as you can see, we got her all dressed up for her little photo-shoot. It was a lot of fun, and Anya cooperated quite well. Today, we went to the park. I figured I better let her play outside before it snows again. She loved playing inside the tube. I would run back and forth from one opening to the other and say "Hey, Anya!" She thought it was pretty funny. The last picture is just a random picture, but if you look close, you can see the curl on her head. She is finally starting to get some hair!!! As of this week, she has started to walk more than crawl to get where she needs to go. Sometimes she gets a little distracted, like she did in the video. Apparently, she felt like she needed to rest and read some books. She is still a little shaky, but she catches her balance, and off she goes again!!!

Tagged!

I was tagged by Mckenna forever ago and now by Holly with the same tag, so here it goes. Oh, and I forgot about Stef's tag so I will put it at the bottom.

1st Tag
The rules are:to list 5-6 quirks.
Quirk #1- I have to have my blog post up for at least two days before I can put up another one. Otherwise, someone might miss my newest news. I also hate when people have a million post on one page, so it's not just like I can add to my page. However, as of late, I have been a little better about this, but have limited myself to only showing two post at one time. Hence, the reason I have postponed Mckenna's tag for so long. Sorry!

Qurik #2-If I buy a children's book and it has a list of series on the back I won't buy it unless they have all of the books listed to purchase as well.

Qurik #3-I vacuum my living room at least once a day, but a lot of times twice. I hate when I can see things on my rug, and Anya put everything in her mouth so I have to keep the floor tidy.

Qurik #4- I hate, hate, hate, losing things, to the point it makes me stressed if I do. I am anal until I find what I have lost. I just bought Anya some new little bows, and for the life of me I can not find the purple one. It is driving me crazy! She hadn't even worn it yet!

Qurik #5- If I know someone is coming to my house I always light candles or spray perfum because I am paranoid my house may smell funny. So, if you show up unannounced, just know that I will be secretly stressing, because I am wondering if you think my house smells funny!

Qurik #6 - I can not go to bed if I haven't check my blog, email, and face book. I have become addicted!

Quirk #7- I always have Jesse edit my blog post because I make mistake when writing. So, if you ever notice that the post you saw yesterday is the same today with a few changes, it's because my editor came home and helped me out! Thanks Jess!

So, there you go my friends, just a little list of my many, many quirks! Sorry, I added and extra one, hope you don't mind!

Now 2nd Tag:
List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself.

Joys: Jesse, Anya, and being outside!!!

Fears: Being alone for long periods of time, that when Anya sleeps longer than normal something is very wrong, that I will lose my wedding ring!!!

Obsessions/Collections: Bow making, I collect spoons, and vacuuming!!! Oh, and always putting three !!! at the end of every sentence!!!

Random facts: I love the snow, I hate getting out of bed in the morning, and when I grow up I want to open a Pre-School!!!

There you have it!!!

Family Pictures!!!

So, we tried it again. This time I think it was a bit more successful. Jesse doesn't really like any of them. I think that he is wrong. I think that we got a few good ones, and I like them. Anya did not want to smile, but at least this time her eyes are open. I think the ones of her by herself are so darn cute!

She Walks?!!!

Yes, you read it right! Our barely-eight-month-old is walking! Up until today, she had only been taking a few steps here and there. (And, though Grandma Willie considers that to be enough to qualify her as a walker and continues to assert that she started walking at seven months, we were still waiting for her first "real walk." And, I think this is it.) I started babysitting a boy in our ward. As you can see, he is about double the size of Anya in weight and stands at least a head taller. However, that didn't stop Anya from walking circles around him...literally! She really enjoyed banging on his head and shoving it to the ground. Luckily, he's one tough boy and actually seemed to like it. He can't crawl, so he just has to sit there and take it. I think he was her inspiration, though. She would walk across the room just to beat him on the head. Since he left, she has just continued walking around the house. She's walked across the living room about three times, and here she is walking down the hall. She has a ways to go yet, but I think she's on to a pretty good start!
