Fun Times!!!

So, after having break down and thinking that my life was all too boring, things quickly changed. After talking to my mom, I realized that I have to keep myself busy or I will go crazy! Literally! Anyway, I think that I found plenty to do the past few weeks. Jesse and I decided that because we live so far away from civilization, we should buy a deep freezer to stock up. Jesse is quite proud of this purchase, might I add. We bought half a beef from his uncle, so the freezer is now completely full! Yeah! Anya and I also made a quick trip to Lyman to watch Dave play football. However, he got hurt pretty badly in the beginning of the second quater, and he was out the rest of the game. Although we didn't get to see him play much, it wasn't a wasted trip because Mark had brought me a half bushel of peaches to freeze - which brings me to my next productive thing. I learned how to freeze peaches. I got about 10 quarts. While I was on a food storage kick, I went to Pocatello so my grandpa could teach me to can. Jesse's grandma had given us a huge sack of cucumbers, so I decided to make pickles. I ended up getting 12 quarts. Now I can say I know how to can. I actually really enjoyed it; so much so that I am going to help him in a few weeks can pears. My grandparents have a HUGE black lab named Gouda, and Anya loved her. I was surprised by this because Mark has little dogs and they scare her. I have also occupied my time by making hair bows. I swore that I would never have a daughter that had a bow that was bigger than her head, but now that I have one, I think they are so dang cute! These are my latest ones. They are so simple to make. I have just been putting them on headbands that I have made out of socks or knee-highs. I have been trying to find a pattern for the waffle stitch headbands because they are so much cuter. So, if anybody knows it, could you please share. Well, I guess I have had a successful two weeks! Thanks mom for telling me I needed to keep busy, it has made my days a whole lot more enjoyable!

This & That!!!

Nothing very exciting has been happening at the Willie household as of late. But of course, we did have some cute pictures to post. Anya loves to be outside, so we decided it would be fun to go Geo-Caching. There were several within walking distant from our home, so we took the stroller and had a great time. I went to Lyman last week to pick up a freezer that we had bought, and Anya had a good time playing with Carter and Jill. Everytime Carter got on his Smart-Cycle, she would crawl right over to him and pull herself up. He thought it was so funny! He also thought it was funny to put these glasses on her and begged me to take a picture. I am glad I did because I think it is so cute. The last two are of her new coat! I love it! It is a little big, but I wanted it that way so it would last longer. She is now 7 1/2 months, so I figured 6-9 months wouldn't be too big. However, after noticing that the shirt she has on today is only 0-3 months, I guess I should have known. I think it will do the job, though. When I was putting it on her for the picture she was screaming. But, as soon as I she saw the camera she stopped and started smiling. I guess I have trained her well! Oh, and check out those cute boots! My Aunt Tia gave them to her when she was born. They, too, are too big, but they will do the trick for now.

Anya's New Bike!!!

Anya's first bike!!! I am not sure who was more excited about it, me or her. Because she is so eager to learn to walk, I got this to help her out. It is dang cute. She can ride it or push it. It plays music when you push it's nose. We took her on a little ride around the lawn and she loved it. I know you are probably thinking "Oh, my heck Emily, do you think you have enough pictures of this event?" And to that I say, this isn't even half of them, not to mention the four videos of it. Come on, it's her first bike! I was a little excited!!! Anyway, I thought these pictures were so cute, so of course, I had to share them!

Growing Up!!!

Ok, so Anya is growing up way too fast! She can crawl everywhere now and is into everything. She can find every cord and uncovered outlet in this house. I try to have them all hidden or plugged, but somehow she manages to find the very few that I have missed. She loves to play with vents and can find them anywhere, including in sacrament meeting on the back wall. She can pull herself up on anything. It amazes me that she can pull herself up on a bare wall. She can stand all by herself without holding on to anything and has learned how to brace her fall. Here is the kicker, though...she took her first step the other day!!! She is only 7 months old! I want her to stay a baby for just a little longer!! I think in the video you see it all: crawling, pulling up, standing, and even trying to step (except her foot gets stuck in the rail. Oops!) You can even hear her laughing at Jesse when he is playing "peek-a-boo." She has the cutest laugh. Sometimes she forgets that she can laugh so she just opens her mouth like she is laughing. It is so funny! Oh yeah, she also about knocks herself out and we just laugh. It was pretty funny, though! She was tough, though. She usually isn't so tough. Anyway, she is just a little "Busy-Body" and likes to be doing something (or should I say, into something) all the time. I wonder where she gets that from? Hum?!
