Dancing Queen!!!

We were going through some home videos and ran across a few clips that just seemed to fit together well. So, we decided to post them. Here is a little taste of the journey that Anya has gone through to evolve into the "Dancing Queen" that she is today. This post features segments from the entire spectrum of her dance education - from her humble beginnings, carefully spinning to the music in her head (first clip), to some of her first performances (second & third clips) and team routines (fourth clip). The fifth clip offers an insider's view into intense rehearsals, where she is pushed by her mother to attain an even higher level of performance, which leads to her eventual work in international genres in the final clips. She can dance to the fast songs, as well as the slow ones. In fact, she has made such huge strides in her skill set that she has even started dressing the part - as you can see in the last three vidoes, where she showcases her abilities with just a hint of Turkish flair. (And, for those of you wondering; yes, that really is an authentic Turkish belly dancing outfit that Grandma Willie brought back for her from her trip to Europe. As you can see, Anya's been able to put it to very good use. She was even able to incorporate the headdress into her routine in a few different spots.) Enjoy!!!
